Along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue in Bagumbayan, Quezon City, a restaurant earned a reputation that outlasted trends. Causeway Libis was more than a dining destination — it was a gathering place, a tradition, and a taste of home for families who returned year after year.

When the time came to reimagine the brand, the owners chose a name that spoke to both heritage and identity. Mr. Chow — named for the patriarch at the heart of this culinary story — honors the original vision while charting a fresh course for a new generation of diners.

The kitchen recipes remain the same. The warmth remains the same. Only the name has changed, and with it, a renewed commitment to the quality and care that made Causeway Libis a household name in QC.

Today, at the same address on Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Mr. Chow Seafood Restaurant welcomes all — the loyal regulars, the first-timers, the barkadas on food crawls, and the families celebrating milestones over a shared table of fresh seafood, roasted duck, and steaming dim sum.

Causeway Libis Opens

The original Causeway restaurant opens on E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Bagumbayan, QC, quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite for Chinese seafood and dim sum.

2015

Growing a Loyal Following

Word-of-mouth spreads far beyond Bagumbayan. Weekend tables fill with families from across Metro Manila coming specifically for the Peking Duck and live seafood selections.

2020

Rebirth as Mr. Chow

The brand relaunches as Mr. Chow Seafood Restaurant — a new identity, the same address, and all the flavors that built a decade of loyalty. Social media presence established on Instagram and Facebook.

2022

Expanding the Menu

New signature items introduced including the Assorted Seafood Crispy Noodles and the Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs, both becoming instant bestsellers among the younger dining crowd.

2025

Gen Z Approved

Mr. Chow catches fire on social media, with posts highlighting the restaurant as a top food crawl stop in QC. A new generation discovers the restaurant, bringing barkadas through the door.

2026

Still Going Strong

194 Instagram posts and 681+ followers later, Mr. Chow continues to serve 11 AM to 10 PM every day, welcoming every generation to the table on Rodriguez Jr. Avenue.
